The College of Physical Education Discusses the Key Elements for the Success of Women Leadership in a Workshop

 

The Women’s Affairs Committee and the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul, in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs and Sustainable Development Units at the university’s presidency, organized a workshop titled “Key Elements for the Success of Women Leadership in the Contemporary Job Market”. This initiative aligns with the sustainable development goals of gender equality, decent work, and economic growth.

The workshop addressed the concepts of women leadership, the challenges women face in the workplace, and modern strategies to enhance their participation in decision-making roles. It also explored both soft and hard leadership skills, as well as the role of emotional and social intelligence in the success of female management. The aim was to highlight the leadership role of women in developing academic and sports institutions, empowering female students and staff with the necessary leadership skills, and boosting their self-confidence to compete in the job market. The workshop reinforced the university’s role in supporting the institutional growth of women cadres, addressing challenges, and removing obstacles to enable women to reach leadership positions, serving the community and contributing to comprehensive development.
