On December 30, 2025, Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, chaired an extensive meeting attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Rafal Hasan Hamed, the Assistant of the President for Administrative Affairs, and Dr. Basel Khalaf, Head of the Academics Syndicate in Nineveh. The meeting brought together the deanships and staff of the Colleges of Environmental Sciences and Islamic Sciences to directly review the teaching, research, and academic environment, and to identify staff needs to ensure the continuity of academic excellence.

During the meeting, the university president emphasized that advancing the educational and research system begins with empowering teaching and administrative staff and providing the necessary tools to enhance the quality of academic output. He stressed the importance of removing administrative and technical obstacles that hinder daily work, thereby strengthening the role of the College of Environmental Sciences in addressing contemporary issues and the College of Islamic Sciences in consolidating intellectual values, ultimately achieving the desired leadership across all sectors of the university.
