The College of Fine Arts at the University of Mosul, in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning, organized a scientific seminar titled “The Transition to the Bologna System: Prospects and Challenges in Higher Education” on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

The seminar aimed to discuss mechanisms for developing the educational system for the academic year 2026–2027, by focusing on ways to implement the Bologna System to ensure the quality of academic outputs, transition to electronic governance, and include first-year students from the three departments of the college under the new system. The seminar also addressed the organization of credit distribution between core, supporting, and enriching courses, in alignment with the fourth sustainable development goal.

This seminar is part of the University of Mosul’s efforts to update teaching methods, enhance a comprehensive university environment that keeps pace with scientific advancements, and improve its academic outcomes for the benefit of both the university and the community.
