The University of Mosul Launches Its Digital Repository to Enhance Open Access to Scientific Output

In a pioneering step aimed at supporting digital transformation and providing knowledge to researchers and postgraduate students, the University of Mosul has launched its digital repository for the General Secretariat of its libraries. This initiative is part of the Central Library Restoration Project, which is being implemented by UNESCO in collaboration with the staff of the Holy Abbasi Shrine and the university’s computing center.

The digital repository includes a wide range of scientific output from the University of Mosul, such as theses, dissertations, scientific research, patents, book chapters, and academic lectures. This initiative contributes to preserving and organizing scientific production according to global academic standards. A specialized team has been trained to manage the content and ensure easy access, as part of the university’s vision to promote open access to scientific resources and strengthen its academic presence both locally and internationally.
