The President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, participated in the meeting of the Higher Committee for the implementation of the “British Academic Bridge” Initiative, which was hosted by Al-Maarif University College in the city of Ramadi, Al-Anbar Governorate. The meeting was attended by academic leaders, representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and a number of presidents of Iraqi universities.

During the meeting, mechanisms for implementing the initiative were discussed, along with ways to enhance academic cooperation between the University of Mosul and British universities. This cooperation aims to support the internationalization of higher education, develop academic programs, and strengthen scientific research in accordance with global academic standards.

The President of the University emphasized the importance of the “British Academic Bridge” Initiative in opening new horizons for international scientific partnerships, exchanging academic expertise, and building an open university environment that keeps pace with global developments. He also noted the University of Mosul’s commitment to active participation in national initiatives with an international dimension.

The meeting also reviewed the achievements realized within the framework of the initiative and discussed future plans and mechanisms for further development, in a manner that enhances the position of the University of Mosul in international scientific cooperation.

The participation of the President of the University of Mosul reflects the university’s strategic vision aimed at strengthening its international academic presence and contributing to the development of the higher education system in Iraq.
