ahmedimad2026-01-12T06:44:46+00:00The College of Science at the University of Mosul has achieved a remarkable research accomplishment by registering two strains (pathogenic and environmental) of Acinetobacter baumannii in the global gene bank database (NCBI). This achievement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of a research team led by Assistant Professor Dr. Angham Jabar Alwan, with the participation of fourth-year students Malak Ahmed Hamid and Alaa Hatem Qasim. The genetic sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene was documented and officially deposited under the names Ma.Al.An.B1.IRAQ and Ma.Al.An.19.IRAQ. The genetic analysis results showed a 99.81% match with the global isolates registered in the database. [Read More]
