Under the sponsorship of Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and Prof. Dr. Yassin Taha Al-Hajjar, President of Al-Noor Private University, an international scientific workshop was held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Al-Noor University under the slogan “For a Carbon-Free Future”, which is part of the (SolAware) cooperation project related to the field of solar energy and in cooperation with the British University of Teesside, and with the support of the British Council. It was attended by Prof. Dr. Yassin Taha Al-Hajjar, President of Al-Noor University, and Prof. Dr. Munir Salem Taha, Assistant President of the University of Mosul for Scientific Affairs, and a number of deans of the faculties of the Universities of Mosul and Al-Noor, and professors and academics specialized in the field of solar energy. The workshop project aims to improve the quality and importance of educational options, support students in developing their professional activities after graduation, as well as provide students with the necessary means to carry out academic or professional projects that motivate them to put their theoretical knowledge into practice, and develop projects aimed at reaching practical solutions in the field of solar energy and clean energy.
