Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations

University of Mosul is one of the largest universities in Iraq and has a prominent place in the academic community in Iraq. Based on the directions of the University of Mosul to raise the international status of the university in many directions, especially after liberation, the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department works with great efforts to provide the necessary academic and cultural foundations for University of Mosul to open up to the international academic community by developing strong relations with universities and academic and cultural institutions abroad, and exchanging experiences and knowledge with them. The Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the Presidency of the University is the main section responsible for improving and developing international relations, academic scholarships, and cultural exchange to enhance the academic and research quality of the university at the international level.

The tasks of the department include several aspects, including:

1. Expanding the university’s network of international relations through cooperation with universities and educational and research institutions abroad.
2. Promoting the university’s academic and research programs at the international level.
3. Organizing and managing student and academic exchange programs with partner universities.
4. Coordinating with government agencies and international organizations to obtain support and funding for university  development projects.
5. Working to improve the standards of education, research, and higher education by benefiting from distinguished international practices.
6. Organizing and facilitating visits by international delegations to the university and participating in international exhibitions and events to promote international integration and participation in the global academic community.
7. Developing and implementing strategies to attract foreign students and researchers to the university.Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, through its divisions and units, contributes effectively to raise the status of the university at the global level, helps attract talented students and researchers from all over the world, and promotes cultural and scientific exchange with the international community to serve our esteemed University of Mosul and our dear homeland.
