American Unit

The American Corner Unit at the University of Mosul
The American Corner Unit (ACU) is an administrative entity associated with the Division of the Cultural Relations, Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the University of Mosul. The ACU works on enhancing the scientific and academic cooperation between the University of Mosul and American universities and educational institutions.
The academic cooperation project with Lindenwood University is one of the most significant ongoing projects of the ACU. The visit of the president of the University of Mosul, Dr. Kossay Kamaladdin Alahmady, to Lindenwood University has been concluded with multiple academic and research cooperation projects in various disciplines, including water shortage, climate change, the rehabilitation of the destroyed or legacy heritage sites using artificial intelligence (augmented reality), and English language skills development projects. The ACU is working on activating these projects to serve both the faculty members and students at the University of Mosul.
There are a few other academic projects that the ACU is working on in cooperation with the Cultural Attaché, Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington, D.C. These projects are expected to be announced sometime in the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year.
