Assist. Prof. Dr. Mayada Mahmood Ali, faculty member in the Department of Basic Sciences, College of Dentistry, participated in the activities of the Fourth International Conference on Scientific, Social, and Humanitarian Research, held at the University of Sulaimania – College of Administration and Economics / Conference Hall, on September 17–18, 2025. The event was organized by the Arab Democratic Center – Iraq, under the theme:
“Innovation in the Service of Education and Scientific Research.”

Dr. Mayada presented a research paper entitled:
“A Study of the Properties of Carbon Prepared from the Carbonization of Almond Seed Shells Using a Strong Base,”
which falls within the field of applied chemistry. Her study highlighted the potential of utilizing natural materials in modern scientific applications, as well as the importance of digital technology in supporting scientific research and advancing its methodologies across various disciplines.
