College of Dentistry

The Department of Basic Dental Sciences and the Studies and Planning Division at the College of Dentistry, in cooperation with the Studies and Planning Department / Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, organized a panel discussion entitled “Organic Chemistry as One of the Most Important Life Sciences (Study and Analysis)”.
The event was held within the framework of achieving the Fourth, Eighth, Eleventh, and Twelfth Sustainable Development Goals.
The panel discussion was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Ammar Abdulghani, who highlighted that organic chemistry is considered one of the most important life sciences due to its fundamental role in understanding the structure of organic compounds and the mechanisms of their reactions. He emphasized its significant importance in medical, pharmaceutical, and industrial fields, as well as its effective contribution to supporting scientific research and the development of modern technologies.
The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Ghada Abdulrahman Taqa, Head of the Basic Sciences Department, and was attended by a number of faculty members from the department.
At the conclusion of the session, Dr. Ammar responded to the questions and inquiries raised by the attendees regarding the topic of discussion.
