Citizens Affairs

Citizens Affairs Unit

Overview:
The Citizens Affairs Unit is an administrative unit that reports directly to the Dean of the College of Dentistry. It is concerned with handling citizens’ affairs, helping to overcome some of the obstacles they may face. The unit receives citizens, listens to their complaints, guides and directs them to the appropriate departments related to their requests. It also handles requests addressed to the Dean, presenting them for his opinion. Additionally, the unit oversees the organization of appointments with the Dean and enters citizen requests into the unit’s designated electronic platform. This helps expedite responses, facilitates access to specific information, and informs citizens of the actions taken regarding their requests or complaints via the phone number or email address provided in their submission.

Objectives:

Serve as the college’s public interface for all matters related to citizens.
Provide the highest quality of services to all citizens.
Represent a modern and institutionalized approach to resolving citizens’ issues in a state governed by institutions.

Unit Responsibilities:

Receive all requests addressed to the Dean.
Supervise and organize scheduled appointments with the Dean.
Communicate with citizens and follow up on the actions taken regarding their requests and complaints.
Coordinate with academic departments, divisions, and administrative units regarding the submitted requests.
Enter citizen requests into the e-Government Citizen Affairs Program through the electronic form available in the unit. The system then generates a unique tracking code for each request to enable proper follow-up.
