Dormitories

In the aftermath of the massive destruction caused by the occupation of ISIS terrorist gangs in Mosul city—which affected more than 70% of the University of Mosul and led to the obliteration of the dormitory sections—the staff of these sections, under direct guidance from the university’s presidency and with an exceptional spirit of cooperation and dedication, undertook the mission of reviving these facilities from beneath the rubble. With limited resources, both financial and human, the university succeeded in a short time in hosting more than a thousand male and female students from various provinces across the country, who are considered as its guests.

Thanks to these sincere efforts and the continuous support from the university, performance significantly improved and culminated in the completion of eleven dormitory sections that currently accommodate over 3,600 students. With this achievement, the dormitories of the University of Mosul have earned a leading position among their counterparts in Iraqi universities and have truly become a melting pot that embraces the rich diversity of Iraqi society with love and brotherhood, far from any form of discrimination.
