A seminar at the Environmental Research Center on lead poisoning.
Lead (Pb) poisoning occurs when it accumulates in the body, often over the course of months or years. Even tiny levels of lead can cause serious health problems. Children under the age of 6 are particularly vulnerable to it, which can severely affect development, mental and physical damage to the child, while poisoning at high levels may lead to death. In order to shed light on lead toxicity, the Environmental Research Center held a seminar on Monday, December 11, 2023, in which the assistant lecturer, Safwa Walid Ahmed, gave a lecture entitled “Lead Poisoning” in the Environmental Research Center’s lecture hall, attended by the center’s staff members.
