In order to focus on the huge spread of plastic products in various environments and its repercussions on biodiversity, food security and public health, specifically microplastic particles in water, which pose a major threat to the environment and humans, which requires the adoption of effective measures and integrated strategies for waste management, the Environmental Research Center held a seminar entitled “Plastic and microplastic waste and its impact on the environment and water” was delivered by Dr. Zakaria Nafi Mahmoud Shehab (a lecturer at our center) on Sunday, February 18, 2024, in the center’s lecture hall, attended by a number of the center’s staff members .
