The Environmental Research Center holds a training course entitled (Integrated Solid Waste Management and its Impact on Sustainable Development).
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Director of the Environmental Research Center, Dr. Saba Khair Al-Din Ibrahim, the center held a training course within the continuing education curriculum for the period from December 22 to 26, 2024. The course targets employees concerned with environmental affairs in order to raise the level of environmental awareness among participants and as a contribution from the center and the university to serving the community.
The course began with Assistant Professor Taha Ahmed Al-Tayyar, on behalf of the Director of the Center, welcoming the participants, wishing them to benefit from the course lectures. Then he gave them a lecture entitled (The Concept of Integrated Solid Waste Management), followed by a lecture by Dr. Riyadh Mahmood Saleh entitled (E-Waste in the City of Mosul). The first day of the course concluded with a lecture entitled (Agricultural Waste Management and Its Role in Sustainable Development) given by Assistant Professor Nahla Salem Hamouk.
