Research Center Organizes a Seminar on Natural Phenomena in Large Water Bodies
The Environmental Research Center at the University of Mosul organized a seminar titled “Natural Phenomena in Large Water Bodies” on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Taha Ahmed Al-Tayyar, Head of the Environmental Information Systems Department.
The seminar addressed negative natural phenomena affecting large lakes and reservoirs, such as the Mosul Dam Lake.
The lecture addressed the phenomenon of thermal and chemical stratification and nutrient cycling within water bodies, and their impact on water quality and the surrounding environment.
The seminar aimed to reduce the environmental problems resulting from these phenomena and limit their negative impacts on water quality and the local environment in general, and water quality in particular
