The Environmental Research Center is organizing a Seminar on Smart Forest Management in Nineveh Governorate

The Environmental Research Center at the University of Mosul organized a seminar titled “Smart Forest Management in Nineveh Governorate” on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Nada Younis.

The lecture addressed the importance of forests in Nineveh Governorate, one of the most prominent environmental and natural areas in northern Iraq, due to its unique biodiversity and climate.

The lecture addressed the growing environmental challenges facing forests, such as desertification, fires, and illegal logging, emphasizing the need to adopt smart and sustainable strategies for managing these natural resources to ensure their protection and preservation.
