Under the supervision and attendance of Assistant Professor Dr. Saba Khairuddin Ibrahim, the Environmental Research Center at the University of Mosul held a workshop entitled “Scientific Research: The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Research” on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Rasha Khaled Sabri and Mr. Hassan Basil Youssef.

The workshop focused on empowering researchers and academics to enhance their skills in preparing and publishing scientific research and employing modern artificial intelligence tools to accelerate and improve the quality of the research process.

The workshop addressed the stages of academic publishing, how to choose the appropriate journal, tools for verifying citations and plagiarism, as well as artificial intelligence applications in data analysis, text generation, language review, and organizing references.

The workshop aimed to familiarize participants with the stages and steps of publishing scientific research according to academic standards, enhance their ability to choose the appropriate scientific journal for their field and avoid fake journals, and train them in formulating and improving research content. It also focused on improving linguistic style using artificial intelligence and its role in data analysis, visualizing results, and verifying results. The journal’s integrity is verified through the Ministry of Higher Education’s electronic portal and the Bell Predator website.
