Sustainable Food Security Continues for Fourth Day

The Sustainable Food Security Course continues on its fourth day, Wednesday, April 30, 2025. The first lecture, delivered by Assistant Professor Safwa Walid Ahmed, was titled “The Future of Food in Light of Environmental Radioactive Contamination.” She addressed the relationship between radioactive contamination and food security, focusing on how nuclear and environmental radiation affect food safety, both plant and animal, and the direct threat this poses to human health and the sustainability of food systems.

The second lecture, delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Ezz El-Din, was titled “The Impact of Food Security on Environmental Health.” It addressed the issue of ensuring the availability of sufficient and diverse food for all, while ensuring food quality and suitability for human consumption. Food security is a critical issue that impacts human health and well-being.
