The Environmental Research Center Holds Its Regular Meeting to Discuss Strategic Environmental Issues

The Board of Directors of the Environmental Research Center held its regular meeting on Monday, June 2, 2025. The meeting was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Saba Khair El-Din Ibrahim, Director of the Center, and attended by Board members: Assistant Professor Taha Ahmed Taha, Head of the Environmental Systems and Information Department; Dr. Ali Bashir Aziz, Head of the Pollution Control Department; Dr. Amira Mahmoud Al-Rawi; and Dr. Sahar Salem Boutros.
The meeting addressed several important topics, most notably the discussion of the recommendations presented during the scientific symposium on environmental impacts on reproductive health; the possibility of creating a guide to polluted areas in Nineveh Governorate; and a study of the best scientific and technical methods for eliminating these areas. This will contribute to improving the environmental situation in the governorate, updating job descriptions for the Center’s departments, and developing internal policies in line with the Center’s policies and the University’s directives, thus enhancing the achievement of future goals in accordance with the University’s overall strategy.
This meeting is part of a series of periodic meetings held by the Center to follow up on its research and administrative work and coordinate efforts towards a healthy and sustainable environment.
