The lecture addressed several chemical tests for water, focusing on the topic of “hardness” in its various types and degrees, and its health effects. It also provided a brief explanation of the presence of sodium ions in water and its various effects.
This was followed by a practical explanation given by Mr. Mohammed Qasim and Ms. Aisha Moaz, which included testing total hardness and calcium hardness in water samples taken from wells and tap water, with the aim of clarifying the differences and analyzing the results practically in the laboratory.
