The Environmental Research Center organizes training lectures for students of the College of Environmental Sciences and Technologies
The Environmental Research Center at the University of Mosul organized lectures as part of the summer training program for students of the College of Environmental Sciences and Technologies on Monday, July 7, 2025, in the center’s laboratories. This was in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education).
The program began with a scientific lecture delivered by Dr. Sahar Adnan Sheet, which addressed the risks of food waste to the environment, the negative effects of its accumulation, and scientific methods for mitigating it.
This was followed by an introductory session presented by Professor Muhammad Qasim, who explained the working mechanism of laboratory equipment, the types of chemicals used, and how to handle them. The session aimed to enhance students’ applied knowledge and link theoretical aspects with practical laboratory experiences.
