The Environmental Research Center Concludes its Summer Training Program

On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the Environmental Research Center at the University of Mosul concluded its summer training program for students from the College of Environmental Sciences and Technology. This program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education).
On the final day, Dr. Mai Abdul Hafez delivered a scientific lecture entitled “Water Harvesting in Rural Areas: A Sustainable Method for Conserving Water Resources.”
She addressed the importance of rainwater as a valuable water resource that can be sustainably exploited through collection and storage, especially in areas with frequent rainfall.
The lecture addressed water sources and types, as well as the problems of water pollution and its various forms.
At the conclusion of the training program, the Center distributed questionnaires to participants to gauge their benefit from the lectures and training materials. This was followed by a test to evaluate the training program and its scientific outcomes.
