The Environmental Research Center at the University of Mosul Receives a Delegation from the Ministry of Environment
On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the Environmental Research Center at the University of Mosul received a delegation from the Ministry of Environment, which included the Director General of the Legal Department and several of its members, as well as representatives from the Urban Environment Directorate and the Director of the Laboratories Division at the Ministry.
During the meeting, avenues for scientific and research cooperation between the two sides were discussed, particularly in areas related to environmental studies and joint projects. The center’s work mechanisms and scientific capabilities were also reviewed, as part of the procedures for renewing the center’s accreditation as an environmental advisory center for the Ministry of Environment, responsible for preparing environmental impact studies for various projects.
The two parties emphasized the importance of continued joint cooperation between academic institutions and government agencies to support national efforts in the field of environmental protection and achieving sustainable development, particularly Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)
