The University of Mosul Participates in the Second Conference on the National Security Strategy

The University of Mosul participated in the second conference organized by the Nineveh Governorate Council to introduce the National Security Strategy “Iraq First” for the years 2025–2030. The conference, held under the slogan “Towards a Secure Nineveh… A Launchpad for Stability and Reconstruction,” took place on Wednesday, January 3, 2025.

A delegation from the Environmental Research Center attended the conference, including Assistant Professor Dr. Saba Khair Al-Din Ibrahim and Dr. Ali Bashir, Head of the Pollution Control Department.

The conference aimed to introduce the pillars of the National Security Strategy and raise awareness of its role in supporting stability and development, while emphasizing the importance of translating it into action plans that suit the specific circumstances of Nineveh Governorate.

The conference saw the participation of academic institutions and local organizations in cooperation with the Global Center for Social Services, reinforcing the governorate’s efforts to support the implementation of national strategies and build a stable and secure future.

These efforts align with achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
