Environmental Researches Center

As part of the “Bridge of Mercy” project, the Environmental Research Center team at the University of Mosul conducted a field campaign on Sunday, December 21, 2025. This campaign included testing and analyzing samples of tap water from residents, as well as delivering awareness lectures on water conservation methods to protect public health.

This initiative aims to ensure the suitability of tap water for human consumption, monitor physical, chemical, and biological indicators, and identify any potential pollutants that could affect public health or the surrounding environment, in accordance with approved environmental and health standards.

The center explained that these tests are part of its program to link scientific research with community service. Research expertise and advanced laboratory equipment were utilized to conduct the necessary analyses and provide the relevant results and technical recommendations to the concerned authorities and the public .
