Environmental Research Center Holds a Scientific Seminar Entitled: “Green Hydrogen as the Fuel of the Future and Its Role in Achieving Sustainable Development”

Under the auspices of the Environmental Research Center, a scientific seminar was held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, entitled: “Green Hydrogen as the Fuel of the Future and Its Role in Achieving Sustainable Development”
The seminar was delivered by Assistant Professor Taha Ahmed Al-Tayyar, Head of the Environmental Systems and Information Department at our Center.
, with the participation of a distinguished group of researchers, academics, and specialists in environmental and sustainable energy fields.
The seminar addressed the significance of green hydrogen as one of the most promising clean energy sources, characterized by its zero carbon emissions, and its vital role in transitioning toward a green economy and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. It also highlighted the latest technologies used in its production, the challenges facing its large-scale implementation, and reviewed leading international experiences in this domain.
The seminar aimed to enhance scientific awareness of renewable energy importance and to support research trends toward adopting innovative solutions that contribute to environmental protection and sustainable development.
