The Environmental Research Center at the University of Mosul held a scientific workshop entitled “Scientific Publishing in Reputable Scientific Journals,” delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Zakaria Nafea Mahmoud.

The workshop addressed the fundamental principles and standards of publishing in reputable scientific journals, methods for selecting appropriate journals according to research specializations, and the importance of verifying journal credibility and indexing in internationally recognized databases. It also highlighted the need to avoid predatory and unreliable journals to improve research quality and enhance the international visibility of scientific publications.

This workshop is part of the Environmental Research Center’s ongoing efforts to support researchers, develop their scientific publishing skills, and promote high-quality research in line with contemporary academic standards.
