The carbon and water footprints in a workshop at Mosul University.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal al-Din al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Dr. Saba Khair al-Din Ibrahim, Director of the Environmental Research Center, and in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Unit of the University of Mosul, the Center held a workshop on Sunday, May 19, 2024, entitled “The Carbon Footprint, the Water Footprint, and Their Impact on Sustainable Development.” In the hall of the Scientific and Literary Forum of the University of Mosul, it was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Mazen Sami Hassan, Director of the Quality performance Assurance Department at the Presidency of the University of Mosul.
The workshop included two lectures, the first was entitled “Carbon Footprint – The Starting Point for Decarbonization,” delivered by professor Dr.. Noha Salim Muhammad Ali Ibrahim, Head of the Quality Assurance Division – Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Department, and the second lecture was entitled “Water Footprint and Water Management Challenges” delivered by junior lecturer Heba Qidar Zaher, Head of the Classifications Unit – Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Department.
