As part of the scientific and awareness activities of the Environmental Research Center at the University of Mosul, a workshop entitled “Encouraging Persons with Disabilities to Contribute Their Creative Talents in Supporting and Promoting Cultural Identity” was held on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, and delivered by Assistant Lecturer Hala Abdulilah Saadoun.
The workshop highlighted the importance of empowering persons with disabilities and recognizing their active role in enriching cultural life through their diverse talents and creative contributions in fields such as art, literature, music, and photography. These contributions play a significant role in strengthening cultural identity and promoting the values of diversity, inclusion, and social participation.
The workshop also emphasized the need to provide a supportive environment that enables persons with disabilities to express their creativity and participate effectively in cultural and community activities, thereby enhancing their social integration and contribution to sustainable cultural development.
