The Grand University Theatre is one of the most prominent cultural and academic landmarks of the University of Mosul, serving as a historic symbol closely tied to the University’s journey since its foundation. Officially inaugurated in 1967, the theatre was envisioned as an integrated platform for science, culture, and the arts within the campus.

Constructed on an area of 3,060 square meters and designed according to the modern architectural standards of its time, the theatre was built to accommodate major events. With a seating capacity of 1,200, it remains one of the largest and most significant venues for large-scale gatherings at the University.
