University of Mosul IELTS Center Makes Strong Contribution at the British Council’s Annual Partner Conference in Iraq
The University of Mosul’s IELTS Testing Center participated actively in the British Council’s Annual IELTS Partner Conference held in Erbil on September 16, 2024. This participation highlights the University’s strategic partnership with the British Council, as the center is a key authorized IELTS testing partner in the region.
The conference opened with a welcoming speech by Mr. Ben Loten, Country Director of the British Council in Iraq, followed by a presentation from Ms. Ameera Manna, Regional Exams Director for the Middle East, who outlined the latest developments and trends in language testing across the Arab region.
The event was attended by representatives from both public and private testing centers across Iraq. The University of Mosul was represented by Dr. Maher Sami Hassan, Head of the International Testing Unit (IELTS) at the university, along with a staff member from the center. Their contribution focused on improving the test-taking experience by facilitating procedures and addressing challenges faced by candidates.
This participation reflects the University of Mosul’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its collaboration with leading international academic institutions, aiming to reinforce its standing and uphold the highest standards of quality in its academic and testing services.
