The visit to the IELTS International English Language Testing Center at the University of Mosul was part of the delegation’s program at the university. They were received at the center by the head of the center, the director of scholarships and cultural relations, as well as the center’s staff and invigilators. The delegation was briefed on the test administration mechanisms, the services provided to students, and the quality assurance systems implemented to ensure the test meets international standards, in cooperation with the British Council and the University of Cambridge.

The two sides also discussed ways to develop the joint work in the field of English language testing , and to provide an advanced testing environment that supports students in improving their language skills and enables them to access international educational and research opportunities.

This visit comes to assert the University of Mosul’s commitment to developing its academic services and opening up to global expertise, which will positively impact students and researchers.

The visit falls under The Fourth Sustainable Development Goal: Quality Education , by supporting language learning and providing advanced international tests that enhance the quality of higher education and students’ academic opportunities. It also contributes to strengthening The Seventeenth Goal: Partnerships for the Goals , by consolidating international cooperation between the University of Mosul and global educational institutions.
