Mosul University Center Continues IELTS Testing Despite the Official Holiday, Concluding on Wednesday Evening, March 25, 2026.

The International English Language Testing Center at the University of Mosul continued administering the IELTS test on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, despite the declared holiday and challenging weather conditions. This is to ensure the completion of the test according to schedule and in the test-takers’ best interest.

The three skills tests—Listening, Reading, and Writing—were conducted, followed by the Speaking test, in an exceptionally well-organized environment and under meticulous academic and administrative supervision. The test continued for several hours until approximately 7:00 PM, and concluded successfully. A heartfelt thanks is due to the  center’s staff and the invigilators for their efforts to ensure the test was conducted according to approved international standards.

The decision to proceed with the test despite the official holiday was in accordance  with the directives of the presidency of the University of Mosul, in service of the test-takers and to prevent any delay in the schedule of internationally recognized tests.

This test is part of a series of internationally accredited tests conducted by the center according to global standards approved by relevant authorities. This aligns with the university’s academic policies of supporting internationally recognized language assessment programs, which contribute to developing participants’ language proficiency and enhancing their academic and professional readiness.

These efforts reflect the university’s commitment to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by contributing to the achievement of several of these goals, most notably:

Goal 4: Quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth through developing language skills and competencies that enhance employment opportunities.

Goal 10: Reducing inequalities by providing educational opportunities and accredited international tests for all.

Goal 17: Partnerships for the goals through cooperation with international institutions concerned with language testing.

The center’s administration would like to inform test takers that test results will be sent via email within two to five days. Therefore, all test takers are kindly requested to regularly check their email.

Lastly, the administration of the IELTS Testing Center at the University of Mosul extends sincerest wishes for success to all test-takers.
