Under the auspices of the University of Mosul Rector, Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, and under the supervision of the Secretary-General of the University Libraries, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, the Continuing Education Division in the Central Library, conducted the third online training course on Subject Cataloging: Arab Subject Headings, on Wednesday and Thursday, November 25-26, 2020. The course was delivered by Assist. Prof. Rafal Nizar, Department of Information and Libraries, College of Arts, and was administered by the Library officials, Dr. Ghada Abdulkarim and Ms. Zina Tarek. The course addressed the concept of subject headings, criteria and principles for selecting them and the referrals, in addition to the branches, formulation and arrangement of subject headings. During the course, all the questions, interventions and inquiries that were raised by the interactive participants were answered and the attendees will be granted certificates of participation by the General Secretariat of the University Libraries
