Under the supervision of the Secretary-General of the University of Mosul Libraries, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, the Continuing Education Division of the Central Library conducted a three-day virtual training course (Indexing English Versions of University Dissertations) from 28 to 30 of September, 2021. The course was organized by Asst. Lect. Zina Tareq, electronically assisted by Dr. Ghada Abdulkarim and delivered by two academics from the Department of Information Technology and Libraries at the College of Arts: Asst. Lect. Noor Fares Alomari and Asst. Lect. Heba Sadallah Yunus. During the course, a theoretical and practical explanation was given about how to index theses card, card types and dimensions mentioning how to write address, statement of responsibility, publication date, notes, follow-up data, application number, title, supervisor and subject header and many university thesis card indexing terms. The course was completed on the third day with an exam for the course attendants who were given participation and examination passing certificates.
