Central Library

In line with the approach set by the University of Mosul regarding highlighting the history of the Central Library to the world, and with a follow-up from the General Secretariat of the University of Mosul Libraries, Agence French-Presse paid a visit to the Central Library to document its featured role in spreading science and culture at the University of Mosul over decades, focusing on the destruction, burning and looting that it was subjected to when ISIS occupied the city of Mosul and shedding lights on the local and global relentless efforts made after the liberation to restore it to its previous era, with reference to the University of Mosul’s future aspirations to develop the Central Library and make it keep pace with the world’s advanced libraries.
