Within the activities of the conference (Rejecting Violent Extremism and Promoting a Culture of Peace) held in cooperation with the UNESCO on the occasion of the University of Mosul obtaining a UNESCO chair, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Munir Salem Taha, Assistant President of the University of Mosul for Scientific Affairs, accompanied by a ministerial delegation, a number of social and academic personalities and a delegation from UNESCO, and with a follow-up of the Secretary General of the University of Mosul Libraries, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, the Central Library hosted a workshop tagged (Education for Peace in Iraq – Building Peace through Education). The workshop was in line with the objectives of the Central Library to share information among students and academics and to increase community awareness
