A meeting to discuss the development of work with the automated catalog system (Koha) in university libraries

The Director of the University Libraries, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, held a meeting with the staff working on the Automated Catalog System (KOHA) in the university’s colleges and centers, during which they discussed the work’s situation in the system and the ways to develop performance, as well as the challenges facing its application in the libraries of the various colleges. They also addressed the ways to standardize cataloguing procedures between libraries and improving the efficiency of staff through continuous training in a way that ensures the sustainability of the system and maximizing its benefits in serving the educational and research process.
This meeting is part of the university’s efforts to develop the digital infrastructure, improving the quality of library services, and enhancing the role of the university library as a key pillar in supporting the scientific research and higher education

In a significant step that reflects the growing academic status of the University of Mosul and its serious endeavor towards universality. the university achieves an important international scientific achievement that was represented by including the University of Mosul's medical journals in the Middle East Medical Catalog (IMEMR) of the Regional Office of the World Health Organization (WHO).
