Participation in a training course on borrowing and technology (RFID)

The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division and the Central Library at the University of Mosul, , as part of the activities of the University Psychological Counseling Division organized a training course entitled: “Borrowing and the Mechanism Based on (RFID) Technology”, on Monday and Tuesday 12-13/1/2026 in the discussion hall in the Sports Sciences Branch.
Where M.M. Rana Ghanem Ismaeel, Head of the Beneficiary Services Division, and Ms. Rana Mahmoud Mohamed Saleh, Head of the International Hall at the Central Library, participated as lecturers. The course covered how radio frequency recognition (RFID) technology works in university libraries, automating borrowing processes with high accuracy and speed, with self-return of books, ensuring security protection, and providing an accurate inventory of sources.
The course aimed to support digital transformation and developing the skills of the library staff and students in dealing with modern technologies that facilitate researchers’ access to scientific sources and improving the quality of library services, thus achieving the fourth goal: good education and the ninth goal: industry, innovation and infrastructure from the Sustainable Development Goals.
