The delegation of the Holy Alawi Shrine visits the Central Library of the University of Mosul

The General Directorate of the Central Library received a specialized delegation from the Holy Alawi Shrine on a visit to learn about the real position of the library work and the scientific and cognitive services provided by the Central Library to the students and researchers of the university.
The delegation was received by Assistant Professor Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, the Director of the Central Library. During the visit, they reviewed the library’s various departments and briefed on the cataloguing and classification units, paper and electronic resources, and efforts made in the field of digital transformation, manuscript preservation and maintenance, and the development of information services. The delegation expressed their admiration for the level of organization and modernization which is witnessed
by the Central Library, especially its participation to sober global databases such as JSTOR, Research4Life, and the Digital repository which provide
peer-reviewed scientific sources that contribute to supporting scientific research and developing the academic production of researchers and postgraduate students.
The delegation also praised the level of services offered by the library and the vital role it plays in serving the scientific process, highlighting the importance of exchanging experiences and enhancing scientific and cultural cooperation between knowledge institutions in our beloved Iraq.
