The Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Mosul, Mr. Serhad Varli accompanied by the Honorable president of the Mosul University Professor Dr.Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, , visited the Central Library on Monday, February 16, 2026, where he toured its halls and viewed its sections and information services offered to the researchers and students.
He was received by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, the Director of the Central Library, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Dean of the College of Arts.
His Excellency the Consul expressed his admiration for the level of organization and modernization witnessed by the library, particularly with regard to borrowing services, reading halls, and support for researchers, underscoring the possibility of developing
cooperation with academic libraries through the exchange of professional experiences, training programs, and joint scientific activities.
This visit is part of the of the university’s trend towards building strategic scientific partnerships and activating international academic communication channels in a way that contributes to advancing educational and research services and keeping pace with cognitive and scientific development.
