In line with the keenness of the University of Mosul to protect the environment and strengthening the sustainable development, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, the honorable President of the University, and with the follow-up of the Director of the University of Mosul Libraries, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, the Central Library, staff and administration, participated. in the celebration of National Afforestation Day, which was organized in cooperation with the Agricultural Division – Diwan Affairs Department. this morning, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
The campaign included planting various types of trees in front of and around the library building, to preserve the green environment and enhancing environmental awareness on campus. This initiative comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to support environmental sustainability and prepare a purer and more beautiful university environment.
