Under the auspices of the Honorable Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Ibrahim, President of the Mosul University, and the supervision of the Director of the University Libraries, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, and as part of the activities of the Continuing Education Division in the General Directorate of the Central Library, and in cooperation with the Sustainable Development Unit ,Studies and Planning Department in the Presidency of the University of Mosul, a training course entitled “The Impact of Digital Transformation on the Work Environment

of University Libraries” was organized   over two days , June 22 and 23, 2026.

The purpose of the  course is to enhance the digital skills of university staff and highlighting the importance of digital transformation in developing the library and administrative services and raising the efficiency of information management and access to electronic resources, as well as introducing  the modern digital applications, cloud computing tools, electronic archiving technologies, and rapid response codes (QR Code) and their role in improving the services provided users.

The course witnessed an interactive atmosphere from the attendees through discussions and practical applications, which contributes to supporting Mosul

University’s orientations towards digital transformation .Thus ,This course is also attained the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly fourth goal :Good education through digital skills development and capacity building, and ninth goal: Industry, innovation, and infrastructure through promoting the use of modern technologies and digital transformation in the university work environment.
