Innovate for a Green FutureWithin the approach adopted by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President of the University of Mosul, to keep pace with international events to open up and communicate with the international community, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, and the library staff, are pleased to participate in the celebration of World Intellectual Property Day on Sunday, April 26, 2020. In this anniversary year, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) chooses the slogan “Innovate for a Green Future,” to put innovation creativity – and the IP rights that support it – at the heart of efforts to create a green future because the choices we make today will shape our tomorrow and since the earth is our home, we need to care for it. Innovation and creativity will ensure the provision of better solutions to global problems, especially the environmental pollution and its major impacts on the economy and health, represented by the current Coronavirus Pandemic which threatens all aspects of life worldwide. Therefore, the Organization focuses on protecting the intellectual property rights because it counts on innovators and creators in paving the way to build a green future that keeps the world healthy and environmentally-friendly. And it is our pleasure to express our best wishes to those concerned in innovation and creativity on their day of IP rights, hoping better future for them and for all humanity
