Under the supervision of the Secretary-General of the University Libraries, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, the Central Library’s Continuing Education Division headed by Asst. Lect. Zina Tareq, conducted a virtual workshop entitled (Post-ISIS Peaceful Coexistence in Nineveh) on the 2nd of October, 2021. The workshop was electronically managed by Dr. Ghada Abdulkarim and delivered by two academics from the Department of Sociology of the College of Arts at the University of Mosul: Dr. Wa’ad Ebrahim Khalil and Dr. Eman Abdulwahhab Alhelali. The workshop discussed the important role played by the Iraqi media during and after the liberation of Mosul from ISIS in calling for peaceful coexistence, national cohesion, rejecting extremism, social interaction, mentioning the role of the University, civil society organizations, education and sound family upbringing in achieving peaceful coexistence in Nineveh.
