Central Library

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of the Secretary General of the University Libraries, and within the activities of the Continuing Education Division, the Central Library held a workshop on the use of the unified automated catalog. The workshop was presented by Asst. Lect. Rawaa Salahuddin, Asst. Lect. Mohammed Abid Qasim and Ms. Rafal Khaled and was attended the officials of the branch libraries at the colleges and centers of the University of Mosul. The workshop discussed a general introduction to automated open source systems mentioning the advantages of one of the open source online automated catalogue system called KOHA through using MARC 21 technique in cataloging Arabic publications and retrieving importing bibliographic records of foreign books from international libraries.
