In an effort by the University of Mosul to promote cooperation with international institutions, the President of the University of Mosul Prof. Dr. Kossay Alahmady received the Director of the British Council Jim Buttery and a number of the Council’s members who paid a visit to the Central Library. Note that the British Council granted the University of Mosul a license to establish a center for the International English Language Test System (IELTS) in Iraq. The Secretary General of the University Libraries, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, received the visitors, briefing them on the Central Library and its services and the efforts made by the library staff members in serving the Library and its users. The Director of the British Council expressed his admiration for this achievements, promising to promote cooperation and coordination with the University of Mosul.
