Workshop on Impact of Domestic Laws and Public International Law Conflict on Women’s Rights: Iraqi Personal Status Law Amendments, 2025, as a Model

Under the auspices of the President of the University of Mosul Prof. Dr. Wahid Alibrahimi, and in the presence of the Director General of University of Mosul Libraries, and in the framework of the Third National Plan for Women and Peace, the Continuing Education Division and the Women’s Affairs Committee at the Central Library, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the University of Mosul, organized a workshop themed “Impact of Domestic Laws and Public International Law Conflict on Women’s Rights: Iraqi Personal Status Law Amendments, 2025, as a Model” on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
The workshop was delivered by Asst. Prof. Shahla Kamal, Professor of Public International Law, addressing that the domestic laws that apply within a single state and are hierarchically topped by public constitutional laws, so that they interact with each other and function as a group of laws.
